Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups cashewnuts, soaked for 2-3 hours
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
- 2 green chillies, slit
- 1/4 cup blanched green peas
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons goda masala
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup scraped fresh coconut
- Coriander sprig for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add asafoetida and green chillies and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add green peas, cashewnuts, turmeric powder, salt, sugar, goda masala, coriander leaves and scraped coconut, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes. Cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with coriander sprig and serve hot.
