Ingredients list for Hot And Sweet Chicken Wings

  • 8 Chicken Wings
  • a pinch Light Soy Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic paste
  • 1/4 cup Cornflour/ corn starch
  • 2 teaspoons Paprika powder
  • for frying Oil
  • to taste Sesame oil (til oil)
  • For Hot and sweet sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Malt vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger juice
  • 5 cloves Garlic chopped
  • 2 Fresh red chillies slit
  • 2 Green chillies slit

Method

  1. Take salt, ginger paste, garlic paste and paprika powder in a bow.
  2. Add chicken wings and mix well to coat the chicken with the mixture and let it marinate for fifteen minutes.
  3. Remove the chicken and coat with cornflour.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a frying pan and deep fry the chicken wings until golden in colour.
  5. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  6. To make hot and sweet sauce, combine soy sauce, malt vinegar, sugar and ginger juice in a pan. Add water as required and bring the mixture to boil.
  7. Add garlic and red and green chillies and stir well.
  8. Continue boiling until the sauce is reduced to half.
  9. Add chicken wings and stir till they are well coated with the sauce.
  10. Transfer the chicken wings to a serving plate, sprinkle sesame oil and serve with steamed rice.
