Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Goan Chicken Patties Recipe

  • Chicken mince 250 grams

  • Medium carrot finely chopped 1

  • Large potato boiled, peeled and mashed 1

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tablespoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopepd 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Coriander powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 1/2 teaspoon

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Green chillies finely chopped 1-2

  • Dried breadcrumbs 1/4 cup

  • Eggs 3

  • Vinegar 1/2 to cook

  • Semolina for coating

  • Oil to shallow fry

  • Tomato ketchup to serve

Method

Step 1

Take chicken mince in a large mixing bowl, add carrot, potato, ginger-garlic paste, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, coriander powder, chaat masala, turmeric powder, green chillies and breadcrumbs. Break, 1 egg and add along with vinegar and mix well.

Step 2

Break the remaining 2 eggs into a bowl and beat. Spread semolina on a plate.

Step 3

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape them into patties. Dip in beaten eggs and coat in semolina and place them on a plate

Step 4

Heat some oil in a non-stick pan, place the patties in it and shallow-fry on medium heat, turning sides till the chicken is cooked and the patties evenly golden brown on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.

Step 5

Arrange the patties on a serving plate and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
