Ingredients
- 2 drumsticks
- 50 grams split Bengal gram (chana dal)
- ½ cup raw rice
- 2 green chillies
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- ½ teaspoon dry mango powder (amchur)
- Salt to taste
- 4 tablespoons oil
- Coriander leaves for garnish
Method
- Soak the Channa dal and rice for 10 minutes. Cut the drumsticks into 2" lengths and boil till tender.
- Strain the water and keep the boiled drum sticks aside. Grind the chana dal, rice, green chilli, cumin powder, coriander powder, dry mango powder and salt together and make a thick paste.
- Mix the paste over the drumsticks and mix well. See that the paste is properly spread over each drum stick piece. Heat oil in a no stick pan. Shallow fry the drumsticks for a few minutes. When becomes light brown remove the drum sticks from the pan and put in a serving plate, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
