Ingredients
- 8 chicken lollipops
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 3 teaspoons refined flour (maida)
- 1 teaspoon red chilli paste
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon sweet chilli sauce
- 2 teaspoons vinegar
- Oil to deep fry
Sauce - 8-10 plums, seeded and roughly pureed
- 1 medium onion
- 2 tablespoon oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon red chilli paste
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Method
- Put soy sauce, garlic paste, refined flour, red chilli paste, egg and salt in a large bowl and mix well. Add 1 teaspoon water and mix well. Add sweet chilli sauce and vinegar and mix. Add chicken lollipops and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- For sauce chop onion. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a non-stick pan, add onion and garlic and saute till they soften. Add plum puree and mix. Add salt and red chilli paste and mix well and cook on medium heat.
- Deep fry the lollipops till cooked and crisp.
- Add sugar to the sauce and mix till all the sugar dissolves.
- Drain the lollipops on absorbent paper.
- Add vinegar to the sauce and mix well. Switch off the heat and transfer the sauce into a small bowl.
- Arrange the lollipops on a serving plate and serve hot with the plum sauce.
