Ingredients list for Curd Rice
- 1 cup Rice
- 2 cup Yogurt
- 2 inch piece Ginger
- 3 Green chillies
- 1 tablespoon Mustard seeds
- a pinch Asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon Curry leaves
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- to taste Salt
Method
- Peel and chop the ginger. Wash and chop the green chillies. Wash the curry leaves. Prepare steamed rice. Cool the rice then add curds and mix well. Keep aside in a bowl. In a pan heat some oil, add mustard seeds.
- Once they crackle add asafoetida and curry leaves. Then add chopped green chilies and ginger. Remove from heat and keep aside. Add salt to the rice and curd mixture. Mix. Pour the seasoning onto the rice and curd mixture. Mix well and serve.
