Ingredients list for Crispy Squid Rings with Spicy Mayo
- 4-5 medium Squids cut into rings
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- to taste Salt
- ½ teaspoon Paprika
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
- for deep-frying Oil
- ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
- 1½ cups Corn flakes
- ¼ cup Bread crumbs dried
- 1 Egg
- Spicy mayo
- 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
- ¼ cup Mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Pickled jalapenos finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley chopped
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
- to taste Salt
- for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Take squid rings in a bowl. Add garlic powder, onion powder, crushed peppercorns, paprika, lemon juice, garlic paste and salt and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
- Take flour on a plate.
- Take cornflakes on another plate and crush coarsely. Add bread crumbs and mix well.
- Beat egg in another bowl.
- Coat each marinated squid rings with flour, dip in egg and coat with cornflakes-bread crumbs mixture.
- Deep-fry the prepared squid rings in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- To prepare spicy mayo, take mayonnaise in another bowl. Add sriracha sauce, jalapenos, parsley, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well.
- Transfer spicy mayo in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with spicy mayo.
