Ingredients list for Crispy Squid Rings with Spicy Mayo

  • 4-5 medium Squids cut into rings
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Onion powder
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • to taste Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
  • 1½ cups Corn flakes
  • ¼ cup Bread crumbs dried
  • 1 Egg
  • Spicy mayo
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • ¼ cup Mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon Pickled jalapenos finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • to taste Crushed black peppercorns
  • to taste Salt
  • for garnishing Fresh coriander leaves chopped


  1. Take squid rings in a bowl. Add garlic powder, onion powder, crushed peppercorns, paprika, lemon juice, garlic paste and salt and mix well.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a pan.
  3. Take flour on a plate.
  4. Take cornflakes on another plate and crush coarsely. Add bread crumbs and mix well.
  5. Beat egg in another bowl.
  6. Coat each marinated squid rings with flour, dip in egg and coat with cornflakes-bread crumbs mixture.
  7. Deep-fry the prepared squid rings in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  8. To prepare spicy mayo, take mayonnaise in another bowl. Add sriracha sauce, jalapenos, parsley, crushed peppercorns and salt and mix well.
  9. Transfer spicy mayo in a serving bowl and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  10. Serve hot with spicy mayo.
