Ingredients list for Crispy Indian Prawns
- 20-25 Prawns (medium) shelled and deveined with tails intact
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roated
- 2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- ½ cup Yogurt
- 1 Egg
- 2-3 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
- for deep-frying Oil
- ½ cup Bread crumbs dried
- to sprinkle Chaat masala
Method
- Take prawns in a bowl. Add lemon juice, salt, ginger-garlic paste, cumin powder, chilli powder and yogurt in a bowl and mix well.
- Break egg into another bowl and beat well. Add ½ to the prawn mixture and mix. Add gram flour and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Spread bread crumbs on a plate and coat each marinated prawn with it.
- Deep-fry these prawns in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle some chaat masala on top and serve hot.
