Ingredients list for Corn Upma
- 1 cup Corn Thawed
- 1/2 cup Semolina roasted
- 2-3 tablespoons Oil
- 1 tablespoon Ginger finely chopped
- 2-3 Green chillies cut lengthwise
- 1 tablespoon Split Bengal gram (chana dal)
- 1 tablespoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 10-12 Curry leaves
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- a pinch Asafoetida
- to taste Salt
Method
- Dry roast rawa in a non-stick kadai for 3-4 minutes and transfer into a bowl.
- Heat oil in the same kadai, add ginger, green chillies, chana dal, urad dal and sauté till light brown.
- Add mustard seeds and when they splutter add curry leaves, onion and asafoetida and sauté till lightly coloured.
- Add corn and salt and sauté. Add 1 cup water and mix. When it comes to a boil, add rawa and mix.
- Cook till all the water is absorbed. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot.
