Ingredients list for Coconut Aur Til Ki Chutney

  • 4 tablespoons Sesame seeds (til)
  • 3 tablespoons Coconut grated
  • 1 tablespoon Oil
  • 1 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 Green chillies slit
  • a pinch Asafoetida
  • 1/2 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • to taste Salt

Method

  1. Heat a small non stick pan, dry roast sesame seeds and grated coconut. Remove from heat and allow it to cool.
  2. Grind the mixture to a coarse powder.Heat oil in a non stick pan, once hot add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. Allow it to splutter.
  3. Add green chillies, asafoetida, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  4. Add lemon juice, sugar ans salt and saute for one minute.
  5. Add the sesame seed and coconut powder to the pan and mix well.
  6. Allow to cool and store in air tight containers.
