Ingredients list for Cheese Bread Pakora
- as required Mozzarella cheese cubes
- 4-6 White bread slices
- 1 cup Gram flour (besan)
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Chaat masala
- to taste Salt
- a pinch Baking soda
- to deep fry Oil
- as required Tamarind chutney
Method
- Trim the edges of the bread slices. Halve each slice, soak in water and squeeze. Place a cheese cube in the centre of each piece and roll tightly.
- Mix together gram flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, chaat masala, salt and baking soda in a bowl. Add sufficient water and whisk to a smooth batter of coating consistency.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Dip each bread roll in the batter and deep-fry in hot oil till golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Serve hot with tamarind chutney.
