Ingredients
- 1 medium cabbage, shredded
- 1/2 cup scraped fresh coconut + to garnish
- 2 green chillies
- 8-10 curry leaves
- 2 inches ginger, chopped
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 2 dried red chillies, broken
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
Method
- Put coconut in a blender jar, add green chillies, 5-6 curry leaves and ginger and grind to a
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add split skinless black gram and red chillies, remaining curry leaves and ground mixture and mix well.
- Add cabbage and mix well. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Add 1-2 tbsps of water, mix well, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes or till cabbage is done.
- Garnish with coconut and serve hot.
