Cabbage Toran (Keto Friendly)

Cabbage Toran (Keto Friendly)

Ingredients 

  • 1 medium cabbage, shredded
  • 1/2 cup scraped fresh coconut  + to garnish 
  • 2 green chillies
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 2 inches ginger, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
  • 2 dried red chillies, broken
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Method

  1. Put coconut in a blender jar, add green chillies, 5-6 curry leaves and ginger and grind to a
  2. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add split skinless black gram and red chillies, remaining curry leaves and ground mixture and mix well.
  3. Add cabbage and mix well. Add salt and turmeric powder and mix well. Add 1-2 tbsps of water, mix well, cover and cook for 5-6 minutes or till cabbage is done.
  4. Garnish with coconut and serve hot.
