Ingredients list for Cabbage Pickle
- 1 cup Cabbage chopped
- 1 cup Red chilli powder
- to taste Salt
- 3/4 cup Mustard powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Roasted fenugreek powder (methi)
- 3/4 cup Sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon Hing
- 1 teaspoon Lemon Juice
Method
- In a bowl mix together cabbage, red chilli powder, salt, mustard powder and roasted fenugreek powder and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a non stisk pan add mustard seeds, hing and when it starts spluttering add it to the cabbage mixture.
- Add lemon juice and mix well.
- Store it in air tight containers and let it stand for fifteen days.
- Serve with roti.
