Ingredients list for Breakfast Bread Cheese Balls
- ½ cup Mozzarella cheese grated
- 4 White bread slices
- ½ cup Processed cheese grated
- 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped, 2 teaspoons +
- 1 teaspoon Green chilli finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
- ½ teaspoon Garlic finely chopped
- 5 teaspoons Onion finely chopped
- 2-3 medium Potatoes boiled, peeled and mashed
- to taste Salt
- to deep fry Oil
- 1 cup Bread crumbs
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 8-9 Cherry tomatoes halved
- a few Lettuce leaves
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
Method
- Put mozzarella cheese, processed cheese, 2 teaspoons coriander leaves, green chillies, crushed peppercorns, garlic and onion in a bowl and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions, shape them into small balls and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes.
- Take bread slices in a bowl and add water to it. Soak them for a while and squeeze out the water and place in another bowl. Mash them.
- Add potatoes and mix well. Add 1 tablespoon coriander leaves, salt and mix well.
- Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
- Divide the bread-potato mixture into equal portions. Make a dent in them and place the cheese balls in them. Shape them again into larger balls.
- Spread breadcrumbs on a plate. Coat the balls in it, dust off the excess and deep-fry in hot oil till golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
- Combine lemon juice, cherry tomatoes, some lettuce leaves, olive oil and salt in a bowl. Toss well.
- Place the lettuce salad on a serving dish. Halve the fried cheese balls and put them on the dish. Serve immediately.
