By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Aug 2019 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Bread slices, Refined flour (maida) Cuisine Chinese,Fusion Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 6-10 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Bread Manchurian 4-5 Bread slices cut into squares 1 cup Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup Cornflour/ corn starch to taste Crushed black peppercorns to taste Salt 1 tablespo + to shallow fry Oil 1 Medium onion cubed and layers separated 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste 1 1/2 tablespoons Soy sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons Green chilli sauce 1 1/2 tablespoons Red chilli sauce 2 tablespoons Vinegar 1 teaspoon Sugar 1-2 Green chillies sliced diagonally 1 Medium green capsicum diced for garnish Spring onion greens sliced Method Mix together refined flour, cornflour, crushed peppercorns and salt in a bowl, add sufficient water and whisk to a smooth batter. Heat some oil in a non-stick pan. Dip bread squares in the batter, place in the pan and shallow-fry, turning sides, till golden brown on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in another non-stick pan. Add onion and sauté till translucent. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for a minute. Add soy sauce, green chilli sauce, red chilli sauce and vinegar and mix well. Add sugar, crushed peppercorns, salt, green chillies and capsicum, mix and bring to a boil. Add fried bread squares and toss well.
