Ingredients list for Angoor ki Kheer

  • 18-20 Red Grapes seedless
  • 4 tablespoons Rice soaked
  • 1 teaspoon Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Black currants
  • 1 tablespoon Raisins
  • 1 tablespoon Almonds slivered
  • 1 tablespoon Pistachios slivered
  • 4 tablespoons Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Khoya/mawa grated
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • a pinch Green cardamom powder

Method

  1. Halve the grapes and set aside. Coarsely grind the rice using little water. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add black currants, raisins, almonds and pistachios and sauté for a minute.
  2. Add red grapes and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Transfer the mixture into a bowl. Pour ½ litre water into the same pan. Add ground rice and mix well. Cook for 12-15 minutes or till rice is cooked.
  3. Add khoya and milk and mix well. Add green cardamom powder and cook for 5-6 minutes stirring continuously. Transfer the kheer into serving bowls. Sprinkle sautéed nuts and grapes and serve.
