Ingredients list for Andhra Style Curd Rice
- 1 cup Yogurt (curd)
- 2 cups Rice , cooked
- 1/2 cup Milk
- to taste Salt
- 1 Green chilli , finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal)
- 1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
- 10-15 Curry leaves
- 2 tablespoons Fresh pomegranate pearls
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan.
- Take rice in a bowl, add milk and mix. Add yogurt and mix. Add salt and mix well. Add green chilli.
- Add black gram, mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves to the hot oil in the pan and let the seeds splutter.
- Add the tempering to rice and mix.
- Chill in the refrigerator.
- Transfer into serving dish, sprinkle some pomegranate pearls on top and serve.
