Ingredients list for Anda Kaleji Tak-a-Tak

  • 6 Eggs hard boiled, peeled and chopped roughly
  • 200 grams Mutton liver (kaleji) boiled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 2 Medium onions peeled
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 4 Medium tomatoes finely chopped
  • 2 Green chillies finely chopepd
  • 1 tablespoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • to taste Salt
  • A few Fresh coriander sprigs chopped
  • 1 inch Ginger cut into thin strips


  1. Quarter the onions, put them into a chopper jar and chop roughly.
  2. Heat oil in a thick bottomed non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and when they begin to change colour, add onions, mix and saute for 2 minutes. Add ginger-garlic paste, mix and saute till the raw smells disappear.
  3. Add mutton liver pieces and mix well on high heat. Add tomatoes and green chillies and mix.
  4. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder, mix well and saute for ½ minute. Add 1 cup water and mix well. Add salt, mix well and cook.
  5. Add eggs and mix well. Add coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot garnished with thin strips of ginger.
