Ingredients list for Anda Ghotala

  • 4 Eggs boiled and peeled
  • Eggs 4
  • 4 tablespo for toasting Butter
  • 4-5 Green garlic stalks chopped
  • 2 + to serve Medium onions chopped
  • 2 + to serve Medium tomatoes chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon Pav bhaji masala
  • 1 tablespoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 4 tablespo to garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • 8 to serve Pavs


  1. Heat 4 tbsps butter in a non-stick pan, add green garlic and sauté till golden brown. Add onion, mix and saute for 2-3 minutes or till golden.
  2. Add tomatoes and salt, mix and saute till tomatoes are pulpy.
  3. Add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well. Add pav bhaji masala, coriander powder and garam masala, mix and continue to saute for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add ½ cup water and mash the mixture well with a masher. Grate boiled eggs into the pan, add 1 cup water, mix well and cook for a minute.
  5. Break eggs into the mixture and mix them till they get scrambled. Add coriander leaves, mix well and take the pan off the heat.
  6. Heat butter on a non-stick tawa, place slit pavs and toast for a minute from both sides.
  7. Place pavs on serving plates with onion and tomato, transfer the anda ghotala into serving bowls, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
