Achari Chicken Bruschetta

Ingredients 

  • 8 slices of French bread
  • 400 grams boneless chicken, cut into strips
  • 2 teaspoons oil
  • ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
  • Salt to taste 
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon pickle masala
  • ¼ teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
  • ¼ teaspoon onion seeds (kalonji)
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
  • Parsley for garnish 

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
    Take the chicken in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix. Add pickle masala powder, mix and keep aside.
  2. To the pan add fenugreek seeds, onion seeds and onions and sauté till onions are translucent.
    Toast bread slices in a non-stick pan.
  3. To the onions, add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix. Add chicken and mix. Add garam masala powder and cook till the chicken is well done.
  4. Arrange toasted bread slices on a worktop and place a portion of cooked chicken mixture on each slice.
  5. Arrange the bruschettas on a serving platter, garnish with parsley and serve.
