Ingredients
- 8 slices of French bread
- 400 grams boneless chicken, cut into strips
- 2 teaspoons oil
- ½ teaspoon mustard seeds
- Salt to taste
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon pickle masala
- ¼ teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi dana)
- ¼ teaspoon onion seeds (kalonji)
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- Parsley for garnish
Method
- Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
Take the chicken in a bowl. Add salt, ginger-garlic paste and lemon juice and mix. Add pickle masala powder, mix and keep aside. - To the pan add fenugreek seeds, onion seeds and onions and sauté till onions are translucent.
Toast bread slices in a non-stick pan. - To the onions, add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix. Add chicken and mix. Add garam masala powder and cook till the chicken is well done.
- Arrange toasted bread slices on a worktop and place a portion of cooked chicken mixture on each slice.
- Arrange the bruschettas on a serving platter, garnish with parsley and serve.
