Ingredients list for VEG PIZZA BURGER- SK Khazana

  • 4 teaspoons Capsicum mixed coloured, chopped
  • 4 teaspoons Mozzarella cheese cubes
  • 4 teaspoons Sweet corn kernels boiled
  • 4 teaspoons Onion chopped
  • 1 tablespoons Fresh yeast
  • 1 teaspoon Castor sugar (caster sugar)
  • to taste Salt
  • Extra virgin olive oil 1 tablespoon + for brushing
  • 4 teaspoons Pizza sauce ready-made
  • to taste Black peppercorns crushed
  • 20 grams Processed cheese block
  • as required Black olives slices
  • Basil leaves fresh for sprinkling
  • Dried mixed herbs for sprinkling
  • Sesame seeds (black) for sprinkling
  • to serve French fries
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. To make the dough, take yeast in a small bowl, add sugar and 3 tbsps warm water and set aside to activate.
  2. Take refined flour in a large bowl, make a well in the centre and pour activated yeast and ½ cup water and mix. Add ½ cup water, salt and 1 tbsp olive oil and knead to a soft dough. Cover and set aside to prove for 35-40 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven at 180ºC. Grease a baking tray with olive oil.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape each portion into balls and roll each ball into a small disc and cut out small circles of 2 inch diameter using a cookie cutter.
  5. Place 4 of the circles on the greased baking tray and apply 1 tsp pizza sauce on each, sprinkle capsicums, sweet corn kernels, onion and mozzarella cheese cubes.
  6. Sprinkle salt and crushed black peppercorns, grate processed cheese and place a few black olive slices and fresh basil leaves.
  7. Cover the pizza with remaining cut out circles and brush olive oil on top. Sprinkle dried mixed herbs and black sesame seeds.
  8. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 10-15 minutes. Take the tray out of the oven and arrange the pizza burgers on a serving plate.
  9. Serve hot with French fries and tomato ketchup.
