Pizza Sauce Originated essentially from Italian cuisine, Pizza has garnered many fans from India. By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Dec 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Fresh tomato puree, Olive oil Cuisine Italian Course Gravies, Sauces and Stocks Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Tangy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Pizza Sauce 1 cup Fresh tomato puree 1 tablespoon Olive oil 1 tablespoon Garlic , finely chopped 1 medium Onion , finely chopped to taste Salt to taste Black peppercorns , crushed 1 teaspoon Paprika 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon Tomato ketchup 3-4 + to garnish Fresh basil leaves 2 Pizza bases of your ch Toppings as required Mozzarella cheese Method Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and sauté for 2 minutes. Add onion, mix and sauté till golden brown. Add tomato puree, mix and saute for a minute. Add salt and peppercorn and mix well. Add 1 cup water and mix, and cook for a minute. Add paprika and red chilli flakes and mix well. Add tomato ketchup, mix and sauté on medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Tear and add basil leaves and mix well. Remove the pan from heat and let the sauce cool. Preheat the oven to 180º C. Keep the pizza base on a baking tray, spread a ladleful of pizza sauce on it. Top with topping of your choice and mozzarella cheese. Bake for 5 minutes. Make another pizza similarly.
