Ingredients list for Tandoori Sandwich

  • 4 Boneless chicken breasts cut into 2 inch cubes
  • 12 White bread slices
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespo to serve Mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons Garam masala powder
  • 2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 2 teaspoon Dried mango powder (amchur)
  • 4 tablespoons Fresh Coriander leaves chopped
  • 4 tablespo for drizzling Tandoori mayonnaise
  • to apply + to grease Butter
  • to apply + to serve Mustard paste
  • as required Onion rings
  • to sprinkle Dried red chilli flakes
  • to sprinkle Dried mixed herbs
  • 8 Cheese slices
  • to serve Tomato ketchup
  • to serve Potato wafers

Method

  1. Take chicken in a bowl, add salt and ginger-garlic paste and mix well.
  2. Add yogurt, mayonnaise, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, dried mango powder and coriander leaves and mix well. Add tandoori mayonnaise and mix well. Set aside to marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Preheat an air-fryer to 200ÂșC.
  4. Place the marinated chicken pieces in the air-fryer basket, fit it to the air-fryer and cook for 25 minutes. Cook the remaining chicken similarly.
  5. Bring the chicken pieces out, cool and shred them and put into a large bowl. Drizzle tandoori mayonnaise and mix well.
  6. Apply butter and mustard paste on all the bread slices. Spread some chicken mixture on 4 slices, place a few onion rings, sprinkle dried red chilli flakes and dried mixed herbs over the chicken. Place a cheese slice and cover them with 4 of the remaining slices buttered side facing the chicken.
  7. Apply butter on top of these slices and spread some chicken mixture. Sprinkle oregano and red chilli flakes. Place a few onion rings and a cheese slice. Cover them with the remaining 4 slices.
  8. Preheat a griller, grease the lower portion of griller with butter and place, one sandwich at a time, apply butter on top of the bread, close the griller and grill till golden grill marks appear on both the sides.
  9. Cut each sandwich into 2 triangles and place them each serving plate. Serve hot with mustard paste, mayonnaise, tomato ketchup and potato wafers.
