This recipe is from FoodFood TV channel By Sanjeev Kapoor 09 Dec 2014 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Raw Banana, Spinach Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Advertisment Ingredients list for Raw Banana with Greens 2 Raw Banana boiled with skin 25-30 Spinach 1 small bunch Green amaranth (chavli) 2 tablespoons Oil 1/2 teaspoon Split skinless black gram (dhuli urad dal) 1/2 teaspoons Mustard seeds 2 tablespoon curry leaves broken 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida to taste Salt 3 tablespoons Scraped fresh coconut 2 Green chillies 1 inch Ginger 3-4 Garlic cloves 1 tablespoon Chana dal roasted a pinch Turmeric powder 1 inch Ginger cut into thin strips Method Advertisment Heat oil in a pan, add split black gram, mustard seeds, broken red chillies, curry leaves and asafoetida and saute till the seeds splutter. Add spinach, amaranth and salt and mix. Add ¼ cup water and mix. Cover and cook. Grind together coconut, green chillies, ginger, garlic, roasted chana with little water. Peel the bananas, slice into round pieces and add to the pan. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and mix. Add the ground paste and mix. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes. Transfer into a serving dish and serve hot garnished with ginger strips.
