Ingredients list for Raw Banana Halwa- Sk Khazana
- 5-6 Raw bananas peeled and chopped
- 1/4 cup Ghee
- 2 cups Milk
- 1 cup Sugar
- Cashewnuts slivered, 8-10 + for garnish
- Pistachios slivered, 8-10 + for garnish
- Almonds blanched, peeled and slivered, 8-10 + to garnish
- 1/4 cup Khoya/mawa grated
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- for garnish Slivered mixed nuts
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add raw bananas and saute till they turn soft. Add 1 cup milk and mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes or till the raw bananas are completely cooked.
- Mash the mixture with a masher till soft and pulpy. Add remaining milk and sugar and mix well. Cover and cook till the sugar melts.
- Remove the lid and mix well. Add slivered cashewnuts, slivered pistachios and blanched, peeled and slivered almonds and khoya and mix well. Cook till the mixture reaches halwa consistency. Add green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Transfer into serving bowls and garnish with slivered cashewnuts, pistachios and almonds. Serve warm.
