Potato Bites Spicy potato mixture rolled into small bites, dipped in batter, coated with bread crumbs and deep fried. This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe. By Sanjeev Kapoor 14 Dec 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Potatoes, Schezwan sauce Cuisine Fusion Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 26-30 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Potato Bites 1 cup Potatoes , boiled, peeled and grated 1 tablespoon Schezwan sauce 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise to taste Crushed black peppercorns 1/2 for decorating Green chillies , chopped 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli flakes 1 tablespoon Fresh coriander leaves , chopped 3 tablespo for coating Bread crumbs , dried to taste Salt 2-3 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch slurry for deep-frying Oil to serve Tomato ketchup Method Take potatoes in a bowl, add Schezwan sauce, mayonnaise, crushed peppercorns, green chillies, red chilli flakes, coriander leaves, breadcrumbs and salt and mix well. Take cornflour slurry in a bowl and spread some breadcrumbs on a plate. Divide the potato mixture into equal portions and shape them into cylinders. Dip in slurry, coat in breadcrumbs, roll lightly between your palms, repeat the process once and place on a plate. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Slide in these bites into hot oil and deep-fry till golden-brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
