Ingredients for Paneer Malai Tikka Roll - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Cottage cheese (paneer) cut into cubes 400 grams

  • Roomali rotis 4

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Fresh cream 2-3 tablespoons

  • Malai 2 tablespoons

  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Green chilli paste 1 teaspoon

  • Nutmeg powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Garam masala powder 1 teaspoon

  • Chaat masala 1 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Cornflour 1 tablespoon

  • Lemon juice 2 teaspoons

  • 3 coloured capsicums squares 1 cup

  • Melted butter to brush

  • Green chutney to serve

  • Medium onion cut into rings to serve

  • Fresh mint leaves to garnish

  • Lemon wedges to serve


Step 1

Take yogurt in a bowl, add fresh cream, malai, ginger-garlic paste, green chilli paste, nutmeg powder, green cardamom powder, garam masala powder, chaat masala, salt, cornflour and lemon juice, whisk well.

Step 2

Add the cottage cheese cubes and capsicums and mix gently. Set aside to marinate for 20-25 minutes.

Step 3

Preheat the oven at 200° C.

Step 4

Skewer the capsicum and cottage cheese cubes alternately onto soaked skewers and place it on a lined baking tray. Brush melted butter on them, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake it for 8-10 minutes.

Step 5

For each roll, apply chutney in the middle of a romali roti, place one skewer of cottge cheese-capsicums on it and remove the skewer. Keep some onion rings on top and sprinkle some chaat masala, fold the edges and roll it from one side to the other. Repeat for the rest of the romali rotis.

Step 6

Grease a griller with melted butter and place the rolls on it, apply butter on top of them, close the griller and grill for 3-5 minutes.

Step 7

Halve the rolls and keep them on a serving plate, garnish with onion rings and lemon wedge and serve hot.
