Ingredients
- 3/4 cup split skinless green gram, soaked
- 2 medium cucumbers
- 1 teaspoon green chillies, finely chopped
- 3 tablespoons scraped fresh coconut
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 1/2 tablespoons ghee
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon asafoetida
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander leaves
Method
- Peel and grate the cucumbers and put in a bowl.
- Drain and add moong dal along with green chillies, coconut, salt and lemon juice and mix.
- Heat ghee in a small non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida.
- Add the tempering to the cucumber mixture and mix well.
- Serve garnished with coriander leaves.
