Ingredients list for Matar Malai - SK Khazana

  • 1 cup Frozen green peas
  • Malai 2-3 tablespoons + For garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 1/4 teaspoon Asafoetida
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add cumin seeds and asafoetida and let the seeds change colour. Add green peas, mix and sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add salt, turmeric powder, coriander powder and red chilli powder and mix well.
  3. Add malai and mix well. Add garam masala powder and mix well.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish generously with malai and serve hot.
