Ingredients list for Himachali Rara Gosht - SK Khazana

  • 500 grams Mutton cut into 1 inch pieces on the bone
  • 250 grams Mutton mince
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 Large onion sliced
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 Medium tomato chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons Coriander powder
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespo to garnish Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add onion and sauté till translucent.
  2. Add mutton and mix well. Add ginger-garlic paste, salt and sufficient water, mix well. Cover and cook for 4-5 whistles.
  3. Once the pressure settles down, open the lid and add tomato, garam masala powder, red chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and cook for 5-10 minutes.
  4. Add yogurt and mix well. Add mutton mince, mix well and cook for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Add coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 5 minutes. Transfer into a serving dish, garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
