Ingredients for Chilli Chutney Recipe

  • Red Chillies whole dry 3

  • Onion roughly chopped 1 large

  • Tamarind 1 small ball

  • Tomatoes roughly chopped 2 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal) 1 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 8-10


Step 1

Grind in whole red chillies, onion, tamarind, tomatoes and salt to a thick paste. Heat oil in a frying pan add mustard seeds and urad dal and cook until dal turns golden brown.

Step 2

Add curry leaves and the prepared paste and sauté for a couple of minutes. Cool and store in the refrigerator.
