Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Chicken Walnut Pinwheels - SK Khazana Recipe

  • Chicken mince 100Oil grams

  • Walnuts chopped 10-12

  • Oil 1 tablespoon

  • Garlic chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Green chillies chopped 1-2 glass

  • Medium onion finely chopped 1

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Dried mango powder (amchur) 1/2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1 tablespoon

  • Refined flour dough with carom seeds as required


Step 1

Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease a baking tray.

Step 2

Heat oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic, green chillies and onion, mix and sauté till fragrant and translucent.

Step 3

Add chicken mince, walnuts, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and dried mango powder, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 4

Add salt and coriander leaves, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.

Step 5

Roll the dough to a not too thin rectangle, trim the edges neatly to make them even.

Step 6

Spread the chicken mixture evenly and dampen the edges. Roll into cylinder and cut out slices. Place the slices on the greased baking tray.

Step 7

Keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes. Arrange them on a serving platter and serve.
