Ingredients list for Cheesy Hara Bhara Kabab

  • 100 grams Mozzarella cheese , cut into small cubes
  • 3/4 cup Green peas , boiled and crushed
  • 1 small bunch Spinach leaves (palak) , blanched and finely chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves , chopped
  • 2 medium Potatoes , boiled, peeled and grated
  • 1-2 Green chillies , finely chopped
  • 1 inch piece Ginger , finely chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat masala
  • 2-3 tablespoons Cornflour/ corn starch
  • for shallow frying Oil
  • for garnish Onion rings
  • for garnish Lemon wedges
  • for garnish Fresh mint sprigs
  • to serve Tomato ketchup

Method

  1. Take grated potatoes in a bowl, add green peas, spinach, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, salt, chaat masala and cornflour and mix well.
  2. Divide the mixture into equal portions. Flatten each portion onyour palm, place one mozzarella cheese cube in the center, seal and shape into kabab.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a non-stick pan, place the kababs in it and shallow-fry, turning sides, till evenly golden brown on both sides. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Arrange them on a serving platter, garnish with onion rings, lemon wedges and mint sprig and serve hot with tomato ketchup.
