Ingredients list for Cauliflower Garlic Sticks
- 1 small Cauliflower grated
- 1 tablespoon Garlic chopped
- for greasing Butter
- for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- to taste Salt
- 1 tablespoon Olive oil
- 1 Egg beaten
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons Mozzarella cheese grated
- ½ teaspoon Mixed herbs
- 2 Green chillies chopped
- ½ cup Bread crumbs dried
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
- to taste Crushed black peppercorns
Method
- Preheat oven to 180° C. Grease a loaf tin with some butter and dust with some flour.
- Mix together cauliflower and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and sauté for ½ minute. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Squeeze out the excess water from cauliflower and place in another bowl. Add sautéed garlic, egg, cheese, dried herbs, green chillies, ⅓ cup breadcrumbs, 1 tablespoon coriander leaves and crushed peppercorns and mix well. Adjust salt.
- Mix together remaining cheese, remaining coriander leaves and remaining breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Spread cauliflower mixture in the prepared loaf tin. Place the tin in the preheated oven and bake for till golden brown from top. Flip and bake again till golden brown on the other side as well.
- Sprinkle the prepared cheese mixture on top and bake once again till the cheese melts. Remove from heat, cool and cut into sticks.
- Serve.
