Ingredients for Asian Prawn Curry Recipe

  • Prawns shelled and deveined 20

  • Lemongrass 2 inches

  • Oil 2 tablespoons

  • Mustard seeds 1/2 teaspoon

  • Curry leaves 15-20

  • Onion sliced 1 medium

  • Birds eye chillies diagonally sliced 4-5

  • Ginger chopped 1/2 inch piece

  • Tomato chopped 1 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Turmeric powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Thick Coconut Milk 1 cup


Step 1

Crush the lemon grass stalks and then chop them finely.

Step 2

Heat the oil in a non stick pan, add the mustard seeds, curry leaves, onion, bird’s eye chillies and ginger and sauté till fragrant.

Step 3

Add the prawns and sauté for two to three minutes. Add the tomato and stir to mix.

Step 4

Add the lemon grass, salt, turmeric powder and coconut milk. Cook till the prawns are just done. Serve hot.
