Ingredients
- 4-5 ripe star fruits
- 2 raw star fruits
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
- ¾ cup sugar
- ½ teaspoon yellow chilli powder
- 1 teaspoon fennel seeds (saunf)
Method
- Slice both ripe star fruits and raw star fruits.
- Bring sufficient water to a boil in a deep pan, add salt and turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add all the star fruit slices and mix and cook for 15-20 minutes.
- Add sugar, mix and cook till the sugar melts.
- Add yellow chilli powder and mix well.
- Stir in the fennel seeds and cook for 4-5 minutes. Switch the heat off and allow to cool.
- Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and blend to a fine paste.
- Strain the paste into another bowl. Transfer into a jar and use as required.
