Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 green cardamoms
  • 1 teaspoon ghee
  • 2 tablespoons chopped black raisins
  • 2 tablespoons chopped dried golden apricot
  • 2 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 1 teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • Dried rose petals for sprinkling

Method

  1. Heat sugar and 1 cup water in a non-stick pan, add green cardamoms and cook till the sugar dissolves and the mixture reaches one string consistency.
  2. Discard the green cardamoms and add milk powder, stir continuously, to avoid lumps, and cook till well combined.
  3. Add ghee and mix well. Reduce heat to low, add black raisins, golden apricots, walnuts, almonds, rose water and green cardamom powder and cook, stirring continuously, on low heat till the mixture thickens.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a greased and lined burfi tray and tap it a few times. Sprinkle dried rose petals and pistachios powder. Keep aside for 2-3 hours or till completely set.
  5. De-mould the fudge, cut in desired shape and arrange on a serving plate. Serve.
