Motichoor Ice Cream

Whenever there are lots of motichoor laddodos leftover, do not despair. Make use of them to make something else that will be enjoyed by everyone. That’s exactly what we have done here. Used them to make delicious and unusual ice cream which you can serve even at parties.

Motichoor Ice Cream

  • 3-4 motichoor laddoos
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts
  • 1 tablespoon chopped pistachios
  • 1 tablespoon chopped cashewnuts
  • 1½ cups sweetened whipping cream 
  • ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
  • 6-8 pistachios, blanched, peeled and slivered


  1. Dry roast almonds, walnuts, pistachios and cashewnuts for 3-4 minutes or till golden brown and fragrant. Transfer onto a plate and allow to cool.
  2. Take whipping cream in a large bowl, add green cardamom powder and whisk with an electric beater till soft peaks are formed. Add ¾ of roasted nuts. Crumble motichoor laddoos and add into the whipped cream mixture and fold in gently till well combined. 
  3. Transfer the mixture into an air tight container, sprinkle remaining roasted nuts on top, cover with a lid and place it in the freezer for 6-8 hours or till set.
  4. Scoop out the ice cream into individual serving bowls and serve garnished with slivered pistachios.
