Ingredients
- 10-12 button mushrooms, cleaned
- 8 tablespoons ready-made hummus
- 4 sourdough bread slices
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon butter + for toasting
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped garlic
- 2-3 sprigs of fresh thyme
- Salt to taste
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Micro greens for garnish
- Fresh dill sprigs for garnish
Method
- Slice button mushrooms.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a non-stick pan add garlic. Pluck the leaves of thyme and add, mix and saute for 1 minute.
- Add mushrooms and mix. Add salt and crushed black peppercorns, mix well and saute for 2-3 minutes.
- Add Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Transfer on a plate.
- Heat some butter in the same pan. Place the sourdough bread slices and toast, turning sides till evenly golden on both sides.
- Place the toasted bread slices on a serving plate. Apply some hummus on each slice, place a portion of mushrooms on to each bread slice.
- Garnish with micro greens and dill sprigs and serve.
