Ingredients
- 25-30 button mushrooms, chopped
- 10-15 Pro V Regal Walnuts
- 8 toasted slider buns
- 2 tablespoons oil + for shallow frying
- 1½ tablespoons chopped garlic
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2-3 fresh thyme sprigs
- Crushed black peppercorns to taste
- Salt to taste
- ½ teaspoon paprika powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- ½ cup dried breadcrumbs
- Mayonnaise as required
- Lettuce leaves as required
- Pickled purple cabbage as required
- Tomato slices as required
- Cheese slices as required
Method
- Transfer Pro V Regal Walnuts in a chopper and crush coarsely.
- Heat oil in a small nonstick pan. Add garlic, onion, mushrooms, crushed walnuts, thyme sprigs and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
- Add crushed black peppercorns, salt, paprika powder, Worcestershire sauce and cook for 2-3 minutes. Allow to cool.
- Add dried breadcrumbs and mix well.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape into patties.
- Heat sufficient oil in a shallow nonstick pan and shallow fry the patties till golden brown and crisp on both the sides.
- Arrange the lower halves of sliders buns on serving plate, spread mayonnaise and arrange lettuce leaves on top.
- Top up with pickled purple cabbage, tomato slices and cheese slices on top. Cover with remaining halves of the buns.
- Secure with wooden sticks and serve.
