A Maharashtrian style thin buttermilk with predominant flavour of ginger, green chillies and fresh coriander leaves. Easy way to make masala buttermilk at home. Best recipe to be had during summers.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Put yogurt in a jar, add roasted cumin powder, black salt and powdered sugar and mix well with a wooden churner. 
  2. Add 3½ cups chilled water and mix well.  Squeeze juice of grated ginger through a strainer. 
  3. Add green chillies and coriander leaves and mix well. Add ice cubes and mix till well combined.
  4. Pour the mattha into individual serving glasses. Serve immediately.
