Method

  1. Heat 3 tablespoons mustard oil in a non-stick pan till it begins to smoke. Cool slightly, heat the oil again, slide in the rohu fish pieces and shallow-fry on medium heat, turning sides, for 4-5 minutes and drain on absorbent paper.
  2. Discard the skin and bones and crumble the flesh.
  3. Transfer the fish flesh into a bowl, add onion, green chillies, salt and 1 tablespoon mustard oil and mix well.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with slit green chilli and serve.
