Ingredients list for Rohu fish in white gravy

  • 4 darnes Rohu Fish
  • 1/2 teaspoon Onion Seeds
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespo for deep-frying Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 3 teaspoons Mustard paste
  • 4 teaspoons Poppy seed paste (khuskhus)
  • 6 teaspoons sesame paste

Method

  1. Marinate fish in turmeric and salt and refrigerate it for fifteen minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a non stick kadai and deep fry the fish till light brown. Keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a non stick pan add onion seeds and cumin seeds . When it starts cracking dd mustard paste, khuskhus and sesame paste.
  4. Add salt , half cup water and let it simmer for five minutes. Add fish and cook for a minute serve hot with rice.
