Ingredients
- 750 grams mutton, cut into 2 inch pieces on the bone
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder
- 2-3 green cardamoms
- 2-3 cloves
- 8-10 black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon oil
Method
- Take mutton in a bowl, add bay leaf, salt, turmeric powder, green cardamoms, cloves and black peppercorns and mix till well combined.
- Heat a pressure cooker, add the mutton, drizzle oil and 1 cup water and mix well. Cover with lid and cook on medium heat till 4 whistles are given out.
- Open the lid of the cooker once the pressure has reduced completely. Mix the mutton mixture once.
- You may discard the whole spices and use this boiled mutton for various recipes.
