Ingredients

Method

  1. Put jackfruit kernels and grated jaggery into a blender jar and blend to a fine paste.
  2. Transfer the paste onto a parat and add salt. Add rice flour, little by little, and knead into a soft dough. Add 1 teaspoon oil and knead some more.
  3. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  4. Divide the dough into equal portions and roll each portion into a ball. Apply some water on a plastic sheet, place each dough ball and gently flatten them out with your fingers to form discs.
  5. Gently slide in the discs, one at a time, and deep-fry till they puff up and turn golden brown. Drain on absorbent paper.
  6. Transfer them into a serving bowl and serve with cups of hot tea.
