Add salt, sugar and zest of Malta orange and mix well. Add butter and mix with your fingertips till mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Squeeze the juice of Malta and add along with dried cranberries and white chocolate chips and knead with light hands till the mixture comes together and forms a dough. Wrap it in a parchment sheet and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes. Meanwhile preheat oven to 180° C. Roll the dough into a sheet of 1-inch thickness. Cut into roundels with a round cookie cutter. Arrange them on a baking tray, keep the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Bring the tray out of the oven and allow to cool slightly. Arrange the scones on a serving plate and serve with jam and whipped cream.
