Ingredients
- 15-20 Pro V Select California Whole Natural Almonds (badam)
- 8-10 Pro V Premium Figs (anjeer)
- 2 tablespoons ghee + for greasing
- 2 cups grated mawa/ khoya
- ½ teaspoon green cardamom powder
- ⅓ cup sugar
Method
- Sliver Pro V Select California Whole Natural Almonds.
- Grease a burfi tray with some ghee and line with butter paper.
- Take Pro V Premium Figs in a bowl, add sufficient water and soak for 3-4 hours.
- Drain the water and add to the grinder jar. Add 2-3 tablespoons water in which the figs were soaked and grind to fine paste.
- Heat ghee in a non-stick wok, add mawa/khoya and cook, stirring continuously, for 6-8 minutes or till it starts to leave the sides of the pan.
- Add the fig paste and green cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add sugar, mix and cook for 5-6 minutes.
- Reserve some slivered almonds and add remaining and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture into the tray and spread evenly. Sprinkle reserved almonds and set aside to cool completely.
- Demould from the tray, remove the butter paper and cut into rectangles.
- Arrange them on a serving plate and serve.
