Ingredients 

  • 1 medium red cabbage, shredded
  • 10-12 raisins
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt to taste
  • 4-5 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1 large apple, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 6-7 black peppercorns, crushed

Method

  1. Heat butter in a pan, add onion and sauté for a minute. Add red cabbage and salt. Mix well.
  2. Add garlic, mix and add sliced apples. Sauté for a minute. Sprinkle sugar and raisins.
  3. When apples soften, add lemon juice. Add freshly crushed black peppercorns and mix. Serve hot and crunchy
