Ingredients list for Telangana Avakaya Annam
- 1 cup Basmati rice cooked
- 2 teaspoons Mango Pickle
- 2 teaspoons Ghee
- 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 7-8 Curry leaves
- 3/4 cup Onion
- 1 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal)
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
Method
- Mix cooked rice and avakaya pickle in a bowl and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a non stick pan add curry leaves, mustard seeds and cumin seeds, when it starts spluttering add onions and saute till light brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder and saute for a minute.Add split skinless green grams and saute till light brown.
- Add rice and salt and saute for a minute.Serve hot garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
