By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Oct 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Yam, Coconut oil Cuisine Indian Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 0-5 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Suran ki Sabzi 250 grams Yam peeled and diced 1 teaspoon Coconut oil 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds ½ teaspoon Fenugreek seeds (methi dana) 1 teaspoon Split black gram skinless (dhuli urad dal) 7-8 Curry leaves 2 Green chillies slit ½ teaspoon Sugar to taste Salt to taste Crushed black peppercorns 2 tablespoons Fresh coconut grated Method Heat coconut oil in a non-stick pan. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add fenugreek seeds, black gram and curry leaves and sauté well. Add green chillies and sauté. Add yam, mix well and sauté. Add sugar, salt and crushed peppercorns, mix well, cover and cook on low heat till yam turns soft. Add coconut and mix well. Switch off heat.
